Save Money in Winter with an Equipment Upgrade

As the cold of winter approaches, you’ll see plenty of websites offering tips for how to save money during the season. We’ll probably put up one of our own in a few weeks. However, in this post we are going to focus on a specific and long-term way to lower those rising heating costs: upgrading your heating equipment.

We understand that many people are reluctant to make an investment in a new heating system—even when the heating system is starting to fall apart due to age! But this is a true investment. It means better savings as well as better comfort and a longer system life. You’ll save money year after year for a long stretch to come.

The Efficiency Upgrade

This comes straight from the U.S. Department of Energy: Of the $2,000 the average American spends every year on energy use, around $200 to $400 worth of it can go to waste due to outdated and antiquated heating and cooling equipment.

Typically, 43% of winter utility bills go toward providing heat for a home. If you have a system that has dropped in energy efficiency because of age, you could already be paying a fourth more than you should. In addition, this older equipment wasn’t highly energy efficient to begin with when you compare it to current models of furnaces, heat pumps, and boilers. When you put in a new heating system, you’ll not only eliminate current levels of energy waste, you’ll have a system that performs better than your old one did even when it was new.

How to find the right heating system upgrade that will deliver efficiency benefits and keep your home comfortable no matter what the temperature outside? Let us handle it! We’ll see that you have the right ENERGY STAR-certified new boiler, furnace, heat pump, or other types of system, and we’ll install it so that it does the best possible job, for the longest possible time.
